eat me is a soft rubber sculpture commission for the opera of the same name by aida gabriels together with mental klinik. we chemically engineered this pinkliquidmonoblock chair to intentionally absorb whoever sits in it.
vice approached us to create a work for heineken. after lots of liters (of rubber) and one studio floor that never fully recovered, the drippy tapestry grew into a squeezable, wet looking otherworldly sculpture.
vlisco invited us to make eighteen couture looks for their garden campaign. as you can probably already see, we said yes. the campaign unfolded in three chapters, following the garden from morning to night. this one is called noon. one down, two to grow.
while building on the same six silhouettes, blossom added more colour, volume and fun sculptural interpretations while flowers slowly took over the studio in alarming numbers.
by the third and final chapter, called silver moon, things had escalated considerably. we exaggerated everything until everything uncontrollably explode into gigantic, monumental haute couture pieces. it was the best gardening experience ever.
spongebob turned 20, so we threw him a party (commissioned by nickelodeon). we went slightly overboard (haha), teleporting the opening night of amsterdam fashion week straight to bikini bottom. we could've printed a few logos on some t-shirts and called it a day, but we avant-garde'd patrick, gary the snail, mrs. puff, mr. krabs, plankton and spongebob himself into oblivion instead. pineapple leather bags, holey shoes and giant glass bubbles included. of course, we also had to include a gigantic five meter inflatable pineapple as the backdrop. because why not? we also ended up at the łódź young fashion awards and swam home with the grand prize.
parenting is basically haute couture already. sleepless nights, mystery stains and zero personal space. commissioned by superheroes for quinny, we turned these everyday parenting experiences into a capsule collection of five completely unnecessary but surprisingly practical couture looks, and took them to milan fashion week.
Power nap dress and a magnetic toy “car”pet dress included.
