is a spatial sound installation created in collaboration with director kenza koutchoukali and musician tessa douwstra (luwten) that makes the emptiness brought by loss visible, tangible, and audible. just as grief can dominate, overwhelm, or quietly recede into the background, these shifting dynamics are reflected in the work.

on view at centraal museum utrecht from september 11 till november 16, 2025.

disappear shows two larger than life heat responsive sculptures that translate grief into a tactile experience, inviting touch that gently transforms their surface color and leaves fleeting traces of interaction, much like the lingering presence of what is gone. it invites you to experience grief not as absence but as presence, a space where touch, sound, and form converge to make the invisible visible.
