i graduated in fashion design from the amsterdam fashion institute. according to my diploma, that makes me a fashion designer. however, my restless visual imagination and experimental curiosity had, as you may know by now, several other, more elaborate plans.
over the last ten years, my practice has exploded into multiple directions, spanning fashion, textiles, sculpture, objects and, most importantly, material research. fashion and textiles never disappeared. they became the lens through which i discovered my fascination for materials and experimentation, and today forms the foundation of house of rubber.
